Antarctic Wildlife Presentation Monday
The following was submitted by Edgewood Retirement Community.

On Monday, June 10, at 7:30 pm., Edgewood Retirement Community will present "In the Wake of Sir Ernest Shackleton – The Wildlife of the Antarctic Ocean" with Bill Gette, Sanctuary Director of Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education, in the Edgwood Auditorium, 575 Osgood St.
During this presentation using color photographs, Bill Gette, Sanctuary Director of Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center in Newburyport, will discuss his trip to the Antarctic Ocean. On his adventure, Bill visited South Georgia Island and Elephant Island – two places that played important roles in the heroic expedition of Sir Ernest Shackleton and the crew of the Endurance. Bill will show slides of these two remote, forbidding, yet beautiful islands and the thousands of birds and mammals that live and breed there.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, email info@edgewoodrc.com.
