Merrimack College Hockey Player Arrested, Barred From Campus

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — A Merrimack College hockey player was barred from campus and ordered to stay away from a female classmate he is accused of screaming at, threatening and throwing to the ground after a night of drinking in his dormitory. August Von Ungern-Sternberg, 22, was charged with assault and battery, resisting arrest and witness intimidation. Police also found a fake gun and pocket knife, which are prohibited by Merrimack College rules.

According to the Eagle-Tribune, which first reported this story, the victim told police Von Ungern-Sternberg "could never control his emotions." She said they had been drinking on the night of Aug. 31. A roommate called police after returning to the room to find the woman upset.
