Reports of a meteor began flooding Twitter around 8 p.m., and news outlets began reporting the sightings as well.
Reports of sightings came from all over the east coast, from Washington, D.C., to New England.

On our Facebook page, one North Andover reader said that she saw it out of the corner of her eye and knew that, whatever it was, it would be on the news shortly.
According to WBZ, the meteor has been described as green in color.
