North Andover, Andover Residents Invited To Check Out New Swim School

METHUEN, MA — Residents of North Andover, Andover and other nearby towns are invited to check out the area's newest swim school franchise: the soon-to-open Big Blue Swim School in Methuen.

Located at 90 Pleasant Valley St., the school is scheduled to begin offering classes on May 1. The Methuen franchise will be the first Big Blue Swim School in Massachusetts.

"We are so honored to bring the first Big Blue Swim School in the state to the Methuen community," said Gary Cohen, who is the franchise owner alongside his wife Melissa Schorr. "We are teaching children an important life-saving skill and building confidence that can help them reach their full potential in other activities as they learn and grow."

Parents who want to get a look at Big Blue Swim School Methuen are invited to a Family Fun Day on April 29. The free event will last from noon until 4 p.m. and feature an ice cream truck, princess singalong, party games, coloring, a Meet a Mermaid photo op and pool tours.

Big Blue Swim School Methuen will be open seven days a week and will offer weekly, year-round 30 to 45-minute swim lessons for children beginning at just 3 months old. The level-appropriate, engaging lessons will be led by professional instructors.

According to Big Blue, the franchise will feature 90-degree, ultra-clean water, a comfortable viewing area for parents to keep an eye on their young swimmers, plenty of private changing rooms, fall-proof, anti-microbial flooring, free Wi-Fi and ample parking.

The Big Blue mobile app also allows parents to schedule and coordinate classes for multiple kids simultaneously and track their swimming progress.

For a limited time, families who enroll in weekly swim classes at Big Blue Methuen can take advantage of the First Dip Deal, where they will receive their first four weekly lessons for just $79.
