North Andover Woman Hit At Peabody Car Wash, Airlifted To Hospital
The 39-year-old was standing outside a car when she reportedly was hit by another vehicle. An 82-year-old Danvers man was issued a summons.

PEABODY, MA — A 39-year-old Andover woman was injured Thursday at a car wash in Peabody when she was hit by a vehicle while standing outside of her car, the Massachusetts State Police said.
The woman's name has not been revealed publicly, but the MSP said she suffered serious lower-body injuries and was transported via Med Flight to a Boston area hospital.
An 82-year-old man from Danvers was issued a criminal summons for negligent operation of a motor vehicle in connection to the incident, authorities said.

According to police, at approximately 2:36 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to the area of Route 1 southbound near Interstate 95 after a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. WCVB reported the location as Turnpike Car Wash.
The MSP reported that the incident involved a 2021 Chevy Silverado, which was driven by the male suspect. The department said the victim was standing outside of a 2015 Audi A4 when she was injured. The Audi A4 was driven by a 53-year-old from Lynn.

According to WCVB, a witness said the crash happened inside one of the car wash's self-service bays.
The witness told the station that the Silverado was in line to go into the bay when it suddenly slammed into the back of a vehicle — the Audi — parked in the bay. The victim, the witness said, was standing behind the vehicle and was struck by the truck.
The MSP reported that it shut down Route 1 southbound in order to facilitate the landing of the Med Flight.
MSP patrols, MSP Crash Reconstruction, and MSP Crime Scene Services all were on the scene, as was Peabody EMS personnel, according to authorities.
