North Andover's Rose & Dove Gift Shop Closing ... Or Is It?
The shop owner announced the store's closing last month, but now is offering a chance to purchase the real estate and business.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Last month, it was announced that Rose & Dove Gift Shop in North Andover would be closing after the store's owner Kellee Twadelle said she would retire.
But earlier this week, Twadelle, who has run the store at 565 Chickering Rd. for 19 years, suggested there may be some hope for the continuation of the store, or at least the Rose & Dove brand.
In a post on Facebook, Twadelle said the store's location is up for sale, though the real estate is being offered in two ways.

The first is as a stand-alone property.
Twadelle said that a buyer also has a chance to purchase the "property commingled with the award-winning business brand."

Twadelle continued: "This is a perfect opportunity to bring your own vision to Rose & Dove, or add it to an existing business model!" Twadelle wrote.
Twadelle suggested that a commingled purchase would include the 3,600-square-foot retail floor and 1,200-square-foot warehouse space. Additionally, the purchase could include the Rose & Dove brand and marketing assets, e-commerce domain and website, social media accounts, point of sale equipment and customer database, and personalization equipment, in addition to other assets and services.
On April 11, Twadelle took to Facebook to inform the "customers and community" about her retirement and the store's closing.
"For the past 19 years, Rose & Dove has become the 'go-to' destination for everyday gift giving and 'happy place' for many," Twadelle wrote. "Unfortunately, the time has come for me to announce officially that Rose & Dove will be closing. This decision is bittersweet for sure, but I am so excited as I look to the future and its endless possibilities."
Twadelle continued: "Thank you to the generations that have passed through these doors and your commitment to supporting my small business. I will be forever grateful.
"Stay tuned for more details on our upcoming store closing celebration. Until then, our store operations will remain status quo as we continue to provide you with an assortment of beautiful products for your everyday gifting needs!"
The Essex Daily Voice reported that Twadelle is planning a store closing party for some time in June.
Though recent news suggests Rose & Dove could carry on in some form.
Twadelle has indicated that anyone interested in discussing the sale of the property or the property and the brand can contact broker Larry Marocco at 978-479-3137.
