North Andover's Sal's Pizza Closes, New Location Opens In Lawrence

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Sal's Pizza announced this week that it has closed its North Andover location.

But fans of Sal's won't have to travel far to get one of its signature slices. Less than 2 miles from the now former Main St. location in North Andover, a new Sal's has opened in Lawrence at the Haffner's Gas Station and Car Wash, located at 425 Merrimack St.

"We will cherish the memories of our customers, employees and the North Andover community for years to come," Sal Lupoli, CEO and president of Sal's Pizza, said in a release announcing the closing of the North Andover location, which had been in business for 33 years.

Lupoli continued: "We cannot thank the North Andover community enough for their support and hope they will come visit us at our new Lawrence location."

The new Haffner's Gas Station and Car Wash in Lawrence is part of the Riverwalk Innovation District. In addition to Sal's, the location includes a Crack'd Express (complete with drive-thru), which features popular Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee items like breakfast sandwiches, açaí bowls and coffee drinks.

The Haffner's with Sal's Pizza and Crack'd Express opened officially on May 8. A public grand opening is scheduled for May 24, according to the Daily Voice.

According to Sal's, its Lawrence location will be open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
