Purple Couch Bookshop Opens In North Andover

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — The Purple Couch Bookshop has opened its doors in North Andover. The store is currently in its soft opening phase and will have a grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The store is located at 350 Winthrop Ave. two doors down from TJ Maxx.

"The Purple Couch Bookshop aims to be your source for a curated selection of new titles for all ages," according to the shop's page on Bookshop.org. "We look forward to bringing great authors to North Andover to meet and talk with you. We hope to foster a sense of community as we share discussions with you on new books in various genres with our book clubs. We are passionate about literacy and want to create a love of reading from an early age with our story hours."

The shop's hours are weekdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. The store has additional hours Thursday until 8 p.m.
