At the 2021 Annual Town Meeting, the residents of North Andover voted to accept the projects recommended to Town Meeting by the Community Preservation Committee. Among the approved projects was a plan for landscaping and infrastructure improvements to the parking lot, causeway, and trails for accessing Weir Hill from Pleasant Street. The Town has contracted with Ray Dunetz Landscape Architecture to design improvements that protect the natural and historic resources at the project site, while continuing to support active use of the open space. As this area is popular for numerous types of recreation, we are holding a public meeting to provide more information about the planned improvements and to answer any questions.

We encourage anyone interested to join us for a completely virtual public meeting on Thursday, January 20th at 6:30 p.m. The public should register at the following link to receive a meeting invitation and more information about the event: https://forms.gle/7DVP88tHb4yqxEaf7
The meeting will be under an hour and include a presentation showing the proposed Weir Hill Gateway improvement designs, as well as pictures of similar example projects from other towns. The presentation will be followed by questions, which the public can ask directly or submit through a chat function. The public’s engagement with this project and questions help to inform how we can best improve a crucial recreational amenity in town to serve resident needs.
