• Northborough MA fire chief is retiring in March. When his last day is (metrowestdailynews.com) — Northborough’s longtime fire chief, David Parenti, will retire March 31, with the Select Board just beginning the search for his replacement. Parenti, who has led the department since 2016, highlights staffing increases, dispatch upgrades, and approval of a new fire station as key achievements before he and his wife relocate to Florida later in 2026.
   

• Police Arrests, Dec. 19 edition (communityadvocate.com) — Recent police logs include several Northborough arrests, ranging from OUI and negligent driving to shoplifting and a local resident taken in on a warrant. The report also lists numerous similar arrests in neighboring Southborough, Westborough, and Marlborough, with all individuals considered innocent until proven guilty.
