Police Confirm 'Hoax' At Algonquin Regional High School
Police swept the building and confirmed the threatening phone call to the school Tuesday morning was made by a swatter.

NORTHBOROUGH, MA — Northborough Police confirmed that a threatening call to Algonquin Regional High School Tuesday morning was a hoax.
After police received a call indicating an active threat in progress at the high school, they swept the building and confirmed it was a case of swatting.
The call to the school came during a period during which there has been an increase in similar "swatting" calls in other Massachusetts cities and towns, some happening simultaneously.
