Town of Northborough Scholarship Fund needs community’s support

The Northborough Scholarship Committee is asking the community to help support the academic journeys of Northborough high school seniors.

November is Scholarship Awareness Month. The cost of post-secondary education has skyrocketed. The availability of scholarships to high school seniors is important so they can meet their educational goals.

The Northborough Scholarship Committee was established by the Northborough Board of Selectmen in 2001. It is currently comprised of six volunteer members, who are appointed to three-year terms by the Board of Selectmen.

The goal of the Committee is to recognize high school senior students, who reside in Northborough, and provide them with some financial assistance for their post-secondary education.

The Scholarship Fund does not receive any money from the town budget; it relies solely on the generosity of the community. The scholarship awards are based on available funds.

In 2022, a total of $1,800 in scholarship funds was awarded to five recipients in the Class of 2023: Brianna Boeckeler, Aislin Campbell, Erik Lin, Paulina Paradise, and Jason Subat.
