Window Wonderland Collab

NORTHBOROUGH – The Northborough Arts Council’s (NAC) Window Wonderland Project is the first of its kind in the community. It’s a Holiday Art Collaboration between businesses and local artists, an opportunity to bring festive cheer to the storefronts while supporting arts programming in the community. This project is an extension of the NAC’s Public Art campaign in an effort to beautify the town, bring holiday cheer to the people and present artists with an opportunity to showcase their talent.

Twenty-two local businesses signed up to have their windows painted with various holiday scenes. Each business owner has been wonderful and very receptive to this new idea, and their tax-deductible donation goes towards helping to make Northborough a cooperative and beautiful place to live.

The artists donated their time to this project and faced their own challenges as they either had to brave the cold weather to paint on the outside, or learn how to paint backwards from the inside for the first time.

Overall, it was a fun event which attracted many passerbys, who would often comment on the effort in progress. If you visit any of these establishments, be sure to compliment the artwork and/or the businesses for supporting the community. Happy holidays to all!
