Warden Christine Pagliuca confirmed that minutes ago.
"We had long lines first thing in the morning from 7:00 a.m. to about 10:00a.m.," she said. It was not crowded when North End Patch arrived because many people are still working.
Likely, there will be long lines again in this polling location.
As for Christine, she thoroughly enjoys being a warden.
"I'm 50 and have been a North End resident my entire life," she said. "I've been a warden for 10 years."
It's hard for wardens to talk when they're working but Christine took a few minutes out of her busy day to talk about exactly why she loves the job.
"This is my civic duty and I like seeing the people who come to vote," she said. "It's in my DNA."
