Police: Man Charged with Striking Victim in the Face with a Stick

Boston Police have charged a Charlestown man with hitting a victim in the face with a stick.
Police responded to a crime in progress near State Street and Commercial Street in the North End at about 1:45 a.m. on July 21.
Police spoke to witnesses, who said that the suspect attacked the victim with a wooden stick, striking him in the face. Officers saw a visible cut under the victim’s eye.

According to both the witnesses and the victim, the victim and suspect were in an argument when the suspect slapped the victim, then swung a wooden stick, striking the victim in face. Officers took the stick as evidence.
Officers charged Ryan Moran of 37A Dunstable St., Charlestown with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
