Buzz Off: Here's How to Get Excluded from Mosquito Spraying
You have until March 1 to send a certified letter.

With another round of snow headed our way, mosquitoes are not on the top of anyone’s mind right now.
But soon (we hope) spring will return and the snow will be a memory. Spring brings warmer weather -- and mosquites.
The Town of North Reading and is letting residents know how they can exclude their property from mosquito control spraying.

Residents who want to be excluded need to send a certified letter to North Reading Town Clerk’s office by March 1.
“The letter should include your name, address, telephone number and the spray program for which the exclusion is requested. In addition the boundaries of the property should be marked every 50 feet by orange surveyors tape or other appropriate means. The type of markings should be stated in the certified letter,” according to the town.

“Questions on pesticide applications by the East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project or the process to exclude properties from spraying can be answered by calling 781-899-5730.”
