Polls Open Today for State Primary
Voting to take place 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Norton High School.

Polls for the State Primary Election open 7 a.m. today at Norton High School for all precincts and close at 8 p.m.
Town Clerk Danielle Sicard expects about 12 percent of voters to cast their ballot today. This is about how many showed up for the Presidential Primary in March 2012 and the State Primary in September 2010.
“My best guess is that we will be somewhere in that ballpark,” Sicard said.
The highest number of voters for a Primary was in 2006 when 17 percent turned out.
“As always, we encourage people to be actively involved in the election process,” Sicard said.
Voters will submit their ballots in the State Primaries for the candidates of political parties for the following offices:
Senator in Congress for this Commonwealth
Representative in Congress for the fourth district
Councillor for the second district
Senator in General Court for Bristol and Norfolk District
Representative in General Court for Precincts 1 and 2 in fourth Bristol District
Representative in General Court for Precincts 3, 4 and 5 in first Bristol District
Clerk of Courts for Bristol County
Register of Deeds in Bristol Northern District
County Commissioners in Bristol County
County Treasurer (to fill vacancy) for Bristol County
