Highlights from the agenda for the Board of Selectmen meeting.

The Norwood Board of Selectmen will meet in room 34 of Town Hall. Here are the highlights from issues on tonight's agenda:

  • Chief Bartley E. King of the Norwood Police Department will be submitting a monthly report of the department’s activities.
  • Patricia A. Farioli, Assistant Assessor, will be submitting a request to reappoint Chairman Paul F. Wanecek to Board of Assessor as his term expires on April 1, 2012.
  • Michael Petro, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 49, will be submitting a request for car wash on June 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Robert M. Thornton, Town Clerk, will be submitting for signature the Warrant for Town Election April 2, 2012. Also taking the vote of the Board to allow package stores to remain open on Election Day.
  • Gregory Ryan, resident of Sumner St., will be submitting an e-mail with request to submit petitions and recommendations about banning truck traffic for 24 hours on Sumner St. and signage near the entrance/exit of the Norfolk Asphalt plant on Pleasant.
  • Theodore J. Callahan, Chairman, PBCC, will be submitting a request for support of a Reserve Fund transfer from the Finance Commission in the amount of $19,700 for repairs of the Town Hall tower.
