Food Plant Worker Dead In Ammonia Leak In Norwood: Report
The incident occurred just after 11 a.m. Monday at the Home Market Foods plant in Norwood.

NORWOOD, MA — One person is dead in what firefighters said was an ammonia leak at a Norwood food plant Monday, WCVB reported.
The incident occurred at the Home Market Foods plant at 140 Morgan Drive, where two men were working for an outside contractor when the leak occurred, the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office told the outlet.
One of the men was stabilized, but the other, 68-year-old Richard J. Arguin, of Dighton, died at the scene, according to WCVB.

The Norwood Fire Department was at the scene for hours Monday and secured the leak around 7:20 p.m.
Home Market Foods released a statement late Monday night saying the two men were HVAC contractors who were working at the plant when it appears an ammonia pipe was severed, according to NBC Boston.

"They were doing nothing associated with the ammonia system," the fire chief said. "It was just an accident."
