Man Arrested for OUI After Leading Police Chase Through Canton, Norwood
Neil Wynne, 41, of Chapel St., will face charges of operating under the influence, failure to stop for a police officer, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

A Norwood man was arrested by Canton police early Monday morning after leading officers on a chase through Canton and Norwood.
Neil Wynne, 41, of Chapel St., was allegedly driving at twice the speed limit on Pear Tree Drive in Canton, failed to stop for the Canton officer and continued on Neponset St. into Norwood.
During a three-mile chase, Wynne allegedly turned left on Dean St. and drove through a red light at Dean and Washington streets before crashing his vehicle into a wall on the property of Norwood Selectman Helen Abdallah-Donohue's property.

According to the Canton police logs, Wynne was taken into custody at 12:55 a.m. Monday, "on charges of drunken driving as a second offense, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, speeding, and a marked lanes violation."
Norwood police will be adding a charge of leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
