Man Arrested for Selling Heroin in Norwood
Detectives located the suspect, known by two names, at a Walpole gas station last Monday.

Detectives from the Norwood Police Department’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations and other Detectives from the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime (NORPAC) Detectives Unit arrested Lara Tavarez also known as Eliskin Miguel, 33, of Lawrence, MA, in Walpole on March 19.
"Detectives requested a search warrant after an investigation into the sale of heroin by Lara Tavarez in Norwood, as well as other area communities," Norwood police spokesman Kevin Grasso said in a statement.
NORPAC Detectives on surveillance located the suspect and approached him at a gas station in Walpole, Grasso said. This resulted in Walpole Police arresting Lara Tavarez. After his finger prints were submitted to the Massachusetts State Police database, it was discovered he had given investigators a false name and that his real name is Eliskin Miguel. The suspect had warrants issued against him under his true name as well as his false name.
"Detectives summonsed a narcotics dog from the Massachusetts State Police to assist with a search of the suspect's vehicle," Grasso said. "The K-9 detected narcotics present somewhere behind the dashboard."
