The votes have been counted, and the contested races for Norwood's School Committee and Library Board of Trustees have been decided. The two available seats on the School Committee will be filled by current member and chairperson Paul Samargedlis, and current member James Gormley. Samargedlis received the most votes in town with 1,420, and Gormley close behind with 1,335 votes. Sarah Begg (1,119) and Patricia Reardon (970) will fill the two available seats on the Library Board of Trustees. Only 14.12 percent of Norwood voters turned out to vote in Monday's election.
