Norwood Hospital Partners with Canton Veterans for Wellness Event

The second Veterans Wellness event at the Canton Council on Aging was on May 5.

From Norwood Hospital: Norwood Hospital teamed up with Canton Veterans Service Officer, Tony Andreotti, to host the second Veterans Wellness event at the Canton Council on Aging on May 5th. Norwood Hospital staff, along with Steward Home Care, presented interactive talks and activities specifically geared toward Veteran’s health and wellness issues, including Diabetes, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Home Care, and Sleep Issues.

Also in attendance were Canton Fire Chief Charles Doody, Norwood Fire Chief Anthony Greeley; Norwood Firefighter Dennis Mawn; and Robert Pierson, Director, at the Norfolk County RSVP Veterans Volunteer Program. Mr. Pierson also distributed copies of the book, Beyond Band of Brothers by Major Dick Winters, for the Veterans Book Club which was sponsored this month by Norwood Hospital.
