Norwood To Host U.S. International Figure Skating Classic
For the first time in Norwood, the event returns after being canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
NORWOOD, MA — The United States will host the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic this week at the Skating Club of Boston facility in Norwood.
From Wednesday, Sept. 15-19, the event makes its return after being canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Fourteen U.S. skaters will compete on home ice for a spot on the podium.

Headlined by three-time U.S. champions Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue, four women will represent the U.S. in Norwood - Gabriella Izzo, Paige Rydberg, Sierra Venetta and Maxine Marie Bautista.
Five men will compete for Team USA, including Jimmy Ma, Maxim Naumov, Camden Pulkinen, Eric Sjoberg and Dinh Tran.

In ice dance, three-time World medalists Hubbell and Donohue lead the U.S. field. They are four-time champions at the U.S. International Classic, most recently taking the title in 2018. They are joined by Lorraine McNamara and Anton Spiridonov, and Eva Pate and Logan Bye.
The event is available on Peacock Premium and will start with the men's short program on Thursday, Sept. 15.
On Friday, Sept. 16, the ice dance and women's competition will begin along with the conclusion of the men's competition. The event will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 17 with the free dance and the women's free skate.
