Thursday, April 5

10:03 a.m. - Safety Officer conducted investigation and filed a report for a harassment complaint at Norwood High School.

1:51 p.m. - Caller on Prospect St. reported being followed by an angry motorcyclist. Caller was advised to come to the station, a BOLO was issued to cars.

2:42 p.m. - Caller at Norwood Post Office reported demonstraters have a table blocking the sidewalk and political signs. Officer reported no violations.

4:23 p.m. - Caller reported product from Boston Warehouse taken over night. Police filed a report.

4:47 p.m. - Caller on Bahama Dr. reported a domestic disturbance. As a result, police arrested John F. Malinn, of Norwood, for assault and battery.

8:10 p.m. - Caller reported two pedestrians struck at Walpole and Winter streets. NFD and multiple police units responded, NFD transported victims. Police filed a report.

8:27 p.m. - Caller on Prospect St. reported male known to her stole her tablet. As a result, police arrested Jonathan Avelino Ortiz, Jr., of Norwood, for larceny from building.

8:50 p.m. - Walk-in to the department reported someone stole his Xbox and various games from his Day St. residence. Police filed a report.

Friday, April 6

1:41 a.m. - Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop near Hannaford Market on Walpole St. As a result, police arrested Richard Michael Shanahan, of Norwood, for OUI alcohol, OUI drugs, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and possession of class B drugs. Also arrested was Joseph A. Bruno, of Medfield, for possession of class B drugs.

8:20 a.m. - Caller reported vandalism to motor vehicle last night while parked at Ellis playground. Police filed a report.

7:43 p.m. - Walk-in reported suspicious package on Tremont St. Police filed a report.

8:05 p.m. - Caller on Sturtevant Ave. reported seeing parts from son's stolen bike in possession of another party. Police filed a report.

9:52 p.m. - Caller reported hit and run on Boston-Providence Highway. Police filed a report.

Saturday, April 7

1:08 a.m. - Officers responded to a disturbance outside of Napper Tandy's. As a result, police took one male into protective custody.

1:38 p.m. - Caller on Prospect St. reported larceny. Police filed a report.

4:15 p.m. - Officer reported suspicious activity at Staples on Boston-Providence Highway. As a result, police arrested Alexander Michael Cote, of Norwood, for distribution of class D drugs.

4:25 p.m. - Caller reported someone damaged her car while she was getting her hair done at Dellaria Salon on Broadway. Police filed a report.

7:10 p.m. - Caller reported a hit and run at Pleasant and Cross streets. Police filed a report.

10:26 p.m. - Officer reported graffiti on Washington St. Police filed a report.

Sunday, April 8

2:09 p.m. - Caller on Independence Way reported microwave on fire. NFD responded and handled the same.
