Several Norwood runners are among the thousands tackling the 2012 Boston Marathon today. As of registration records on Sunday, 16 town residents are participating, including Norwood High School's . Brown, along with runner and friend Lucas Carr, participated in the Hyannis Marathon earlier this year. On Sunday, the B.A.A. offered a deferment to the entire field of registered runners due to the weather, which is expected to reach tempteratures in the high 80's. Race officials urged less experienced runners to balance their health in their running decisions and adopt the attitude that this is not a race, but an experience.
