Record Warm for Norwood, Thunderstorms Possible Thursday

Temperatures in the 80's were recorded yesterday around the state.

March may come in like a lion and go out like a lamb, but with the record warmth in Massachusetts this week there may be one more roar.

The National Weather Service office in Taunton is predicting temperatures in the high 70's to low 80's through Thursday of this week for Norwood, with a slight chance of thunderstorms late Thursday night.

The unseasonable highs have been recorded all around Massachusetts, the Boston Globe reported Monday. Norwood was among the towns reaching 80 degrees at the start of the week, and the NWS predicts high temperatures near 84 on Thursday.

Boston reached a record 74 degrees Monday, topping the previous record of 72 set in 1903.
