Spring and Summer Events from Norwood Recreation
Check out these upcoming events and programs from the Norwood Recreation Department.

Bullyproofing - Be preventative and proactive so children can avoid being bullied and learn how to stop it. For ages 7-10, Thursday, March 15. Cost is $38 per person.
BLAST - Learn basics of infant and child care, how to react to medical emergencies and run your own babysitting service. Bring a snack and a drink. For ages 11-13, Thursday, March 15, 3-6:00 p.m. Cost is $48 per person.
Last Middle School Dance of the Year - The last dance for the school year will be held Friday, March 16, 7-9:40 p.m., cost is $5 per person, must bring Norwood School ID.
Touch A Truck - Here is your chance to climb on, check out and act like you drive big trucks! Norwood Police, Fire, Airport and DPW vehicles will be on hand for your enjoyment. Saturday, March 24, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the municipal lot in the town center.
Summer Camp Fair - Meet our terrific summer staff. Learn about the programs and clinics that are happening in the Norwood Recreation Deparment this summer. The event will be held outdoors, unless there is inclement weather. Come by and try some crafts! Saturday, March 24, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Quake and Bake Volcano Party - Come and create everything volcano! Lava cake, volcano hat, and make a mentos volcano eruption. For ages 4-10, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is $15 per person. Saturday, March 24, 2-4 p.m., in the Civic Gymnasium.
CPR Certification Class - Tuesday, March 20, 6-9:30 p.m. Cost is $45 per person.
First Aid Certification Class - Tuesday, March 27, 6-9:30 p.m. Cost is $45 per person.

Parents Night Out - Drop off your child at the Civic for an evening of arts/crafts and group games. A pizza dinner is included. Must be ages 7-11. Pre-registration required to attend this program. Cost is $7 per person. Friday, March 30, 6:15-9:15 p.m.
Spring Egg Hunt - Search for candy and toy filled eggs. A special visit from our guest of honor. Tots to grade 2 welcome. Cost is $3 per person and five sealed, filled eggs. Saturday, April 2, 10 a.m., at the Willett School field.
Flashlight Egg Hunt - A new event for our older friends. Grades 3-5. Saturday, April 7, 8 p.m. Cost is $5 per person.
Earth Day Celebration - Start your spring cleaning at the Hawes Pool conservation area to help Norwood Go Green! After, enjoy a bbq lunch. Great opportunity to get your PINS points! For kids grades 4-8, Saturday, April 7,
9:30-11:30 a.m.
Bonaparte Family Magic Concert - This dynamic, fun-filled show will feature oodles of audience participation, hilarious, age appropriate comedy and some special magical guests. Friday, April 27, show begins at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $5 per person.

Summer Playground Staff and Subs - Applications are now being accepted at the Norwood Recreation Department front desk and will be accepted through March 24. Summer Employment is eight weeks, June 25-August 17.
