New Peabody Independence Greenway Signage Installed
New signage includes trail maps and distances between key points on the trail.
PEABODY, MA — Those who travel the Peabody Independence Greenway will notice new informational signage and a new kiosk at the easternmost trailhead near the Leahy Medical Center and Northshore Mall.
The signage as developed and designed by the city and the Peabody Rotary Club is part of a multi-year commitment to improve the bike path, in honor of the club's 100th anniversary.
The kiosk includes additional informational signage, including a map of the entire Peabody bike bath, and distances to other points of interest along and beyond the trail. A second kiosk will be installed at Lt. Ross Park when that Greenway section is joined with the Kristen Crowley spur in 2026.

"In keeping with our motto of Service Above Self, Peabody Rotary supports the local community in a variety of ways," club co-Presidents Cindy Moore and Kerry Armstrong said. We are thrilled to provide these beautifying, directional, and educational signs for the thousands of residents that enjoy the bike path throughout the city."

Club member and Community Development Director Curt Bellavance, along with Club Treasurer Dan Vassallo, led the effort for the group.
"It's been a great partnership between the club, the city, and the historical society," Bellavance said. "We all worked together to create these informative and high-quality signs."
