Peabody Curbside Yard Waste Pickup Resumes In October

Peabody residents will have five weeks of fall leaf and yard waste pickup in October, November and December.

PEABODY, MA — With the official start of fall and some color starting to show up in the trees of Peabody, the city on Monday said there will be five weeks of free curbside leaf and yard waste pickup beginning the week of Oct. 7.

Yard waste pickup will also occur during the weeks of Oct. 21, Nov. 4, Nov. 18 and Dec. 2.

Yard waste collection will occur on the same day as regular trash pickup but may not happen at the same time with haulers possibly returning later in the day to pick up the leaves.

Yard waste must be placed in paper bags or barrels. Plastic bags will not be accepted.

Yard waste can also be taken to the Department of Public Services at 50 Farm Avenue for disposal during regular business hours on Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
