PEABODY, MA — Visitors to Peabody and residents traveling downtown will enjoy free parking at municipal lots and meters through the New Year's Day weekend.

The free parking begins and Friday and runs until Jan. 4.

The program is designed to attract visitors to downtown businesses during the holiday shopping and dining season.
