Peabody Education Foundation Picked As Shaw's Fundraiser Beneficiary

A portion of the sales of Shaw's reusable bags purchased in May will go toward scholarships and Peabody school programs.

PEABODY, MA — A portion of reusable bag sales at the Northshore Mall Shaw's will go back to Peabody school scholarships and other programs through the Shaw's "Give Back Where It Counts" program during May.

Throughout the month, for every $3 bag purchased at Shaw's, $1 will be donated to the Peabody Education Foundation.

The PEF was founded in 1985 by a group of community members, business leaders, and educators seeking to enhance the quality of Peabody public education. The PEF was formed to integrate resources from all facets of the community into the city’s schools.

"The Shaw's Program is a wonderful way to broaden the public's awareness of our work and help enhance the efforts of the PEF in supporting the schools and our children," the PEF said.

The Shaw's "Give Back Where It Counts" Reusable Bag Program, which launched in March 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal of making a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
