Peabody Independence Greenway Project Update

Peabody Rotary Club members celebrate completion of bike path project

On October 10 Peabody Rotary Club members celebrated completion of their work on a 2.9 mile section of the Independence Greenway Path that runs through Peabody. The paved trail is a gem that attracts walkers, bikers, and runners.

Peabody Rotary’s 100th anniversary project began in 2020 and involved making key improvements in the path.

Initially club members installed a water station, bench, and improved the Kristen Crowley spur that starts on Lowell Street and heads toward Danvers.
