Peabody Man Accused Of Assaulting Son

PEABODY, MA — Peabody police arrested a man after being called to an Andover Street home Friday night for a domestic disturbance between a father and son, as well as the son's friends. David R. McCarthy, 51, of Andover Street in Peabody, was charged with assault and battery and assault and battery on a family member, according to the Peabody police log. Police were called to the residence at 10:57 p.m. Friday.

Separately, Peabody police arrested a Danvers man for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and outstanding warrants Friday night. Kristoffer J. Scola-Haynes, 47, of 184 Centre Street in Danvers, was arrested following a traffic stop on Lowell Street at 9:16 p.m.
