Peabody Man Accused Of Stealing From Inmates
Prosecutors say Ronald Moloney, 50, of Peabody, stole money from inmates at the Billerica House of Correction, where he is a guard.
PEABODY, MA — A Peabody man who works as a guard at the Billerica House of Correction pleaded not guilty Monday to charges he stole more than $6,000 from inmates at the facility. Ronald Moloney, 50, of Peabody, is accused of transferring the money from inmates' canteen accounts to debit cards which he then used for himself. A Middlesex County grand jury indicted Moloney earlier this month on charges of larceny of more than $1,200 and filing a false report by a public employee.
