Peabody Passes On Beverly, North Andover Educators For Principal

PEABODY, MA — Superintendent Cara Murtagh named Chris Lord principal of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. Lord, who had been working as interim principal since the start of the school year, was chosen over two finalists from a formal search process: Beverly Middle School Principal Matthew Poska and North Andover High School Assistant Principal Brooke Randall.

Murtagh told The Salem News, which first reported this story, that while Poska and Randall were "wonderful candidates," she had been "blown away" by Lord's work since the start of the school year. The opening was created in July when Eric Buckley unexpectedly resigned after six years on the job.
