Peabody, Salem Residents Charged In Gloucester Cocaine, Fentanyl, Meth Bust

Police said the suspects are facing drug trafficking charges after they seized 1,626 pressed tablets of meth and 44 grams of cocaine.

PEABODY, MA — Three North Shore residents are facing drug trafficking charges after Gloucester police said a traffic stop for erratic driving led to the discovery and seizure of a hangun, 1,626 press tablets of methamphetamine, about 97 grams of crystal meth, 168 grams of fentanyl and 44 grams of cocaine.

Police said they also discovered a scale, pipes and about $4,000 in cash during the Saturday morning bust.

Police said the driver of the vehicle, Eglisard Cela, 37, of Peabody, was found to be impaired during the stop at about 7 a.m. and was charged with OUI, as well as the gun and drug crimes.

Police said after searching the vehicle and finding the drugs and items consistent with drug distribution, passengers Haley Hart-Labrie, 31, of Gloucester, and Paul Fagundes, 30, of Salem were also charged with drug possession and trafficking.

Fagundes faces an additional gun charge.

Police said all three were held without bail and were set to be arraigned in Gloucester District Court on Monday.
