Peabody Store Sells Winning Ticket To Military Member

Alexander just completed his Army Reserve basic training.

PEABODY, MA – The Town Variety on Central Street sold a $1 million lottery ticket to Alexander LaVertue, of Manchester, NH. LaVertue recently completed his U.S. Army Reserve basic training, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The winning ticket was the 12th in the state lottery's new "200X" $30 instant game. Town Variety will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

There are four $15 million prizes and 66 $1 million instant prizes remaining in the game, which began in April. The game also has four second chance drawings, which have a top prize of $1 million.
