Peabody Students Honored At Bates, Belmont, Husson, RPI, SNHU, WPI

PEABODY, MA — These Peabody students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

Isabel Bettencourt was named to the Dean's List at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2024. This is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.92 or higher.

Alec Colacitti graduated from Bates College with a major in Economics and a minor in Religious Studies.

Sydney Campbell earned Dean's List honors at Bridgewater State University this past semester.She was also named to the Dean's List during the previous academic year.

William Bornstein was among the 210 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seniors inducted into the Order of the Engineer, a national organization dedicated to upholding the highest ethical standards for the engineering profession.

Madeline Talbot, a member of the class of 2026 majoring in Biomedical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed a professional-level research-driven project titled Citizen Science on the Muddy River: Low Cost Assessments.

Kasper Stalder, Ava Stanford and Andrew Vo earned Dean's List distinction at Roger Williams University.

Eastern Connecticut State University said Brendan Smith, a sophomore who majors in Criminology, earned Dean's List distinction.

More than 1,000 students concluded their first semester at ECSU this fall 2024. Among them is Isabella Romero, a first-year student who is majoring in Business Administration.

The following Peabody students earned President's List honors at Southern New Hampshire with a GPA of 3.7 or higher: Brian Morelli, Allan Salazar, Emma Hayward, Michael Berlangieri, Calvin Scribner and Cinara Scapicchio.

Peabody students who earned fall Dean's List honors at SNHU with a GPA of 3.5 to 3.699 were Luis Arias and Carlos Osorto.

Gregory Gobin, Stephanie Frontiero, Morelli, Jamie Tagliamonte, Lisa Salerno, Corey Green, Lizmailyn Escoto, Berlangieri, Osorto and Scribner earned President's List recognition at SNHU this past summer.

Donnie Cavanaugh and Shannon Nagy earned fall 2024 Dean's List honors at Curry College.

The College of Holy Cross welcomed Tirenioluwa Asenuga, Katrina McKenna, Morgan O'Donnell and Gianluca Sestito as first-year students this fall.

Nicole DiOrio was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. DiOrio was initiated at MCPHS University.

Rylie Carroll received the Elmira College Key Award for academic and community leadership. A tradition that goes back to 1935, the EC Key Award is presented to outstanding students in their junior year of high school or preparatory school.

Emerson College awarded approximately 1,045 undergraduate degrees to the Class of 2024 during the 144th Commencement at Agganis Arena in Boston. Jacob Caplan earned a BA in Media Arts Production and Alexander Serino earned a BFA in Acting.

The University of Tampa hosted a commencement ceremony on May 4 to honor the 1,717 degree-seeking candidates at the University's 158th commencement. Colby Therrien earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance BS, Collin Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science BA and Viana Kotchian earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology BA.

Western New England University said Jack Houlden was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. Houlden is one of over 670 students to achieve this mark of academic excellence.

WNE said Steven Bromberger was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester. Bromberger is one of over 750 students to achieve this mark of academic excellence. Bromberger is working toward a BS in Computer Science.

WNE said Alexander Silva and Yasmine Giacalone were among the 640 students who made the fall President's List. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.

Jenna Durkin earned Liberty League All-Academic honors in recognition of their excellence in the classroom. Durkin is a member of the Class of 2025 and is majoring in psychology and business in the liberal arts. They are a member of the Saints women's soccer team. Durkin attended Bishop Fenwick High School.

Aishwarya Shekhar Sheth completed the requirements for a degree from Trine University at the end of the Fall 2024 term. Sheth earned a degree in Master of Science in Business Analytics at Trine.

The following Peabody students were named to Lasell University's fall 2024 Dean's List: Jacquelyn Scopa, Jocelyn Salcedo, Ruby Cahill, Meg Collins, Luke Davis and Gabrielle Gagnon.

Husson University said the following Peabody students earned honors during the spring 2024 semester:

Juliana Bouffard — President's List - BS Nursing; Lindsey Josselyn — President's List - BS Criminal Justice - Psychology with a Certificate in Pre-Law Studies - MS Criminal Justice Administration; Tatiana Rosario — Dean's List - BS Criminal Justice - Psychology with a Certificate in Counter Terrorism & Security - MS Criminal Justice Administration.

Cameron King was named among the students who qualified for Belmont University's fall 2024 Dean's List.
