Peabody Ward 2 Celebrates Independence Day

The patriotic parade and associated events continued Peabody's tradition of ward-by-ward holiday events.

PEABODY, MA — A day of sack races, field games, activities and a patriot parade highlight Peabody Ward 2's Fourth of July celebration.

The morning full of events was part of the city's tradition of ward-by-ward programming for the July 4 holiday.

The day included a national anthem, parade, balloon art, face painting, pony rides, fire truck and hose, an appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog, a misting tent, a selfie booth, and both field events and races with awards presented.

Sean Doherty provided music entertainment with attendees receiving free lunch and dessert from Brothers Restaurant, Bertolino Foods, Treadwell's Ice Cream and D'Orsi's Bakery
