PEABODY, MA — A Peabody woman won big on a $30 Massachusetts Lottery scratch ticket. Stephanie Hinson won $1 million, before taxes, on a "Diamond Millions" instant ticket she purchased at Sam’s Food Mart at 474 Lowell St. in Peabody. The store will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Hinson, according to the lottery, plans to use her winnings to buy a new house. No word yet on whether she'll follow in the footsteps of Nicholas Rocco, another recent $1 million lottery winner who was recently featured on the hit HGTV show "My Lottery Dream House." The show follows host David Bromstad as he helps people with recent lottery windfalls find a home worthy of their new tax bracket.
