PEABODY, MA — Drivers in Peabody were urged to avoid the area of Caller Street in the area of Main Street and Walnut Street Wednesday afternoon because of a sinkhole.

Peabody police said at about 3:15 p.m. that the portion of the road was closed to traffic.
