Skunk In The Home, Stolen Seafood: Peabody Police Log

Fifteen keys were stolen from a dealership, someone skipped their taxi fare, and more from the Peabody Police log.

  • Jinette Valentin, 40, of Lawrence, was arrested on charges of larceny over $250 last Thursday around 6 p.m. after police were called to Andover Street.
  • Norman R. Bernard, 49, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of two counts of assault on a household member, threatening to commit a crime, and strangulation or suffocation on Thursday around 7 p.m. after police responded to Washington Street.
  • Police picked up 10 needles off the road on Winona Street on Friday around 10 a.m. after someone flagged down an officer.
  • Officers took a report of a person who stole $240 worth of seafood from an Andover Street business on Friday around 3 p.m.
  • Anderson Dacruz, 35, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving, speeding, failing to signal, and on a warrant on Friday around 10 p.m. after a traffic stop on Lowell Street.
  • Bryan Wright, 59, of Bethel, CT, was arrested on charges of drunken driving, and failing to drive within marked lanes on Friday around 11:30 p.m. after police responded to Newbury Street.
  • Police responded to a report of a fight in a Central Street parking lot on Saturday around 2 a.m. Officers cleared the area.
  • Officers responded to a report of 15 keys stolen from the BMW dealership on Andover Street on Saturday around 8 a.m.
  • Police responded to a report of two dogs chasing a mailman on Aborn Street on Saturday around 10:30 a.m. Officers spoke to the owner.
  • A taxi driver reported that a passenger ran off without paying on Andover Street on Saturday around 7:30 p.m. Police said they believed they knew the person.
  • Steven N. Cunha, 29, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the nighttime, and two others were summons on the same charges after police responded to a report of multiple vehicles broken into on Proctor Street on Saturday around 9:30 p.m.
  • Robert Dyer, 55, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a person over the age of 60 on Sunday around 11 p.m.
  • Kevin Joel Melendez, 22, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on Monday around 1 a.m. after police responded to a report of an argument on Rodney Road.
  • Christina M. Kenny, 32, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of carrying a dangerous weapon, 10 counts of possession of a class E drug, possession of a class A drug, and two warrants on Monday around 11 a.m. after police were called to a Howley Street business.
  • Someone called police to report being woken up by a noise and seeing a black and white animal in a Foxwood Circle home on Tuesday around 2 a.m. An officer was able to get the skunk out of the house.
