The Torigian Family YMCA is proud to announce the return of the Livestrong at the Y Half Marathonfor the first time since the pandemic — alongside its annual 5K race — to inspire even greater community participation in its charity road race benefitting the Livestrong at the Y program for cancer survivors.

The event, taking place Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Lt. Ross Park in Peabody, brings together runners, walkers, families, and supporters to celebrate health, healing, and hope. Every mile supports Livestrong at the Y, a free 12-week program that helps cancer survivors regain strength, balance, and confidence after treatment. Proceeds directly support the Livestrong at the Y program, ensuring that survivors can participate at no cost.

“We’re excited to welcome the community back to one of our most meaningful traditions,” said Cara Green, Executive Director of the Torigian Family YMCA. “The return of the half marathon — and the addition of the relay — reflects the power of coming together for a purpose. Every step our participants take helps cancer survivors rebuild their strength and reminds us what community support can accomplish.”

The Torigian YMCA 5K, Half Marathon, and Two-Person Relay events welcome runners of all levels to take part. Each participant contributes to supporting cancer survivors through the YMCA’s Livestrong at the Y program.

“This race is a visible reminder that the Y’s mission comes to life when people come together,” said Green. “Whether you’re running for a loved one, volunteering on the course, or cheering from the sidelines, you’re part of something that truly strengthens our community.”
