A walk audit by the Pittsfield Community Design Center urges lower posted speeds, better-marked crosswalks, clearer corner visibility, and a proper BRTA bus shelter to protect people who walk, drive, and ride along this busy gateway corridor.

Healey-Driscoll Administration Launches New Youth Employment Pilot (mass.gov) — Pittsfield teens could see new paid job opportunities through a state-funded youth employment pilot that includes the MassHire Berkshire Workforce Board and the City of Pittsfield as partners. The Healey-Driscoll Administration is giving $75,000 to each of four regions to expand youth job placements and training, with Berkshire partners aiming to place 70 young people in 2026.
