Alert For Massachusetts Man Accused Of Gun Cache

The Plymouth County District Attorney warned police agencies about Christopher Barlow, out on bail after being accused of stockpiling guns.

DUXBURY, MA — The Plymouth County District Attorney on Wednesday issued an alert for a Duxbury man out on bond after being accused of amassing a giant weapons cache. Christopher Barlow, 21, was arrested in June and charged with a host of crimes after authorities said he had a trunkful of rifles and handguns and dozens of rounds of ammunition.

On Wednesday, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said Barlow recently violated the terms of his release by visiting certain areas of Plymouth County, including a school, but remains out on bond, according to WHDH.

“He’s been indicted on very serious charges,” Cruz said, according to WHDH. “Because of the fact that we are living in challenging times, I fell that the people in charge of protecting our communities, our dedicated officers, the police chiefs, they should know about these cases.”

Massachusetts authorities have been extra vigilant around schools after this month's mass shooting at a school in Parkland, Florida.

Barlow worked as an EMT for a volunteer fire department in Easton, Connecticut, and had multiple fraudulent identification cards indicating he was supposedly with Homeland Security, the Coast Guard and the Easton, Connecticut, police department, prosecutors said.
