Fundraiser For Massachusetts Man Killed In Nor'easter
Ryan MacDonald, 36, of Plympton, was killed after a tree fell on his truck during a devastating nor'easter.

PLYMPTON, MA — A fundraiser has been established for the family of a Plympton man killed by a tree during Friday's nor'easter. Ryan MacDonald, 36, died after the tree fell on his truck on Cedar Street. He was married and had two children.
MacDonald, an electrician, was driving home from work at the time of the crash, according to CBS Boston.
“He’s the kind of person that goes out and helps everybody,” MacDonald's father-in-law told CBS.

People have donated more than $55,000 to MacDonald's family through a GoFundMe fundraiser.
"Anyone who knew Ryan would say he was a wonderful father, friend and husband, kind to everyone, had an amazing sense of humor and always worked very, very hard for his family," the fundraiser's organizer wrote.

Friday's storm was one of the worst in Massachusetts history. It whipped up wind gusts of nearly 100 mph and knocked out power to more than 450,000. More than 50,000 were still without power across the state Monday. Another nor'easter is expected to hit Massachusetts Wednesday.
