MA Man Bites Off Another Man's Ear During Fight

Officers noted that the two-inch piece of the ear was in a cup of ice water upon their arrival.

PLYMOUTH, MA — A Massachusetts man is facing multiple charges after biting off another man's ear during a drunken fist fight overnight Sunday, police said Tuesday.

The incident was reported just after 1 a.m. in North Plymouth, where the two continued drinking after a full day and night on a sightseeing cruise, according to the Plymouth Police Department.

After going home, the pair — Michael O'Driscoll, 39, of Plymouth, and his 40-year-old opponent from Dorchester "got into an argument and began exchanging punches," police said.

Police say that at one point, O'Driscoll got the other man on the ground and put his mouth around his ear, to which the man pleaded "Don't bite my ear off, Don't bite my ear!"

"The pleading went unheeded by Mr. O'Driscoll, who bit a good chunk of his victim's ear off," according to police.
