Man Dead After Canoe Capsizes In Plymouth County: Reports
The man's body was recovered from the water in Halifax around 12:45 p.m. Sunday, reports say.
HALIFAX, MA — A man is dead in an apparent drowning after a canoe with several passengers capsized in Halifax in Plymouth County Sunday morning, according to multiple reports.
One adult and two children safely exited the water near the boat ramp at 47 White Island Road, though a second adult — the now-deceased man — did not resurface, WHDH and Boston25 News reported.
The man's body was recovered around 12:45 p.m. thanks to the joint effort of Halifax first responders, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, and the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Dive Team, according to Boston25 News.
