Newborn Baby's Remains Found In Trash At MA Recycling Facility: Police
Police said the remains were in trash likely collected from Martha's Vineyard and shipped to the facility for disposal.

ROCHESTER, MA — State police are asking for the public's help after the remains of a newborn baby girl were found in the trash at a regional recycling facility in Rochester.
Massachusetts State Police said the remains were discovered Thursday by employees at the facility. According to police, the remains were in trash likely collected from Martha’s Vineyard and shipped to the Rochester facility for disposal.
Police said the baby's remains were turned over to the medical examiner's office. The autopsy results have not been released, according to authorities.

State police said the baby's mother may live on, have ties to, or recently traveled to Martha’s Vineyard.
